Leanne is a Mom of two beautiful babies. But the road to motherhood was not an easy one. A traumatic pregnancy and delivery in 2022 changed her life. After a NDE, Leanne had to claw her way back to full health. She had to re-learn how to play piano, guitar and even walk, due to complications with the epidural. When Leanne regained her strength and coordination, she turned to writing music to help her heal. Her second baby was born in 2024 after yet another challenging pregnancy and traumatic delivery. Leanne enjoys sharing resources and information to prevent other women from going through what she had to endure. 

 

Despite living through so much darkness and challenge, Leanne continues to share love, light and humour as she balances her music life with Mom life.

 

When it comes to music, Leanne has been described as level-headedsweet, funny, quirky and very talented. She has a positive attitude and an infectious smile that brightens any room she enters. This 35-year-old country rocker walks on stage with a pretty dress, cowboy boots and a big smile, then shatters your expectations as she tears up the stage with her edgy stage presence

Songwriting is Leanne’s passion, she spent the last six years as a full time songwriter building a large category of songs in hopes of landing a publishing deal. She is a multidimensional writer, writing for other artists and projects, male and female alike. Leanne loves songwriting because it allows her to write about any topic or word... even cats!

In addition to a Top 50, Leanne has had multiple Top 100 songs at Canadian Country Radio as an artist.

 

Leanne says that creating music videos is one of her favourite things to do! She typically dreams up the story lines, then edits, co-edits or co-produces her videos. In 2021, she had the #1 music video on The Country Network in the US and has had videos on CMT and major networks across the globe.

Leanne and her husband have rehabilitated 3 homes in the last several years, with more to come in the near future. Fans love to follow the adventures of Leanne and Jordan. 

 

Leanne and her music were featured on the HGTV show Property Brothers. The entire episode documents Leanne and her husband Jordan buying and renovating their first Nashville home. The album “Pull It Off” won Album of The Year at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards. Leanne also won Music Video of The Year for “Hot Pursuit”. In 2018 she won Female Artist of The Year. In 2015 she was the Emerging Artist of The Year.

Leanne grew up watching live DVDs of classics like Eric Clapton, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Eagles and The Rolling Stones. She knew at a young age that she was going to be on stage and often used the living room as a place to perform for family, friends and even her pets. She first sang at the age of 4, singing "Tomorrow" from the musical, Annie. She joined a musical theatre group at the age of 7 and was in countless musicals for many years. She played a variety of rolls from Young Nala in The Lion King, to Cosette in Les Miserable, to Lefou in Beauty And The Beast, and Sandy in Grease. Leanne wrote her first song at the age of 10. She picked up the guitar shortly after, at age 12, and taught herself how to play.

Graduated with a B.A. from the University of Manitoba, where she’s on the Dean’s Honour List, with a major in Psychology

Has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

Has donated her hair twice to make wigs for those undergoing cancer treatments

Has quite the history with CMT. She made her first appearance on CMT in 2009 on “Karaoke Star” where she advanced to the National Top Ten Finale. In 2012, she was a Top 6 finalist in CMT’s "Big In A Small Town" where she showcased not only her voice, but her likeable personality
